Baked Pumpkin Spice Donuts

I found this recipe via Pinterest and made these Baked Pumpkin Spice Donuts for Paul to bring to work last week.  They disappeared from the lunch room within the hour, so safe to say they turned out great!

Dry and wet ingredients
They ended up looking a little more like mini-muffins than donuts, but they were still delish!

Comfort Food

Sunday's "Fall Back" put me in a lazy mood and I decided to stay in, cuddle with my sweetie on the couch by the fire and make some good old comfort food for dinner.  What is better on a cold, dark Sunday night then a Chicken Pot Pie made from scratch?  Absolutely nothing.  I used this recipe and it turned out great!  The best part is it's super cheap to make...our grocery bill was under $10!

Fabulous Weekend

My weekend started off with the best birthday present ever!  My BFF Gretchen flew into town from Madison, WI to surprise me on Friday night (props to everyone who kept it a secret).  On Saturday morning Paul took me to my favorite brunch spot, Salty's on Alki.  It was a perfectly sunny and clear autumn day capped off by another super fun birthday party spend consuming German food and Karaoke-ing at The Rock Box. Great weekend.

Easy Sock Curls

You will need a sock and scissors to start
Cut off the toe of the sock
Roll the sock up
It will resemble a scrunchie
Put some product in dry hair (I used Elnett Hairspray)
Put your hair in a ponytail on top of your head and then roll hair around the sock, starting at the top
You will end up with a big bun on your head. Sleep in it and unroll in the morning.  You will have big bouncy curls!
